Life with a Newborn - 7 Quick Takes

What a week it has been!  I cannot believe that a week ago that I was still pregnant with Peter because it already feels like our family was not complete without him!  Here is what we have been up to this week, which includes a lot of photos, and a lot of baby cuddling!

Meeting Baby Peter
Peter was born at 12:37am on Saturday morning and my husband brought his big brothers up to meet him after we got a "few" hours of sleep that morning.  They were in love right form the start!

Home for the Packers Game

My in-laws have turned all of our boys into Packers fans, and even gotten me to be a fan as well so the family was happy to have baby Peter and Mommy home for the Packers game on Sunday.  After a 30 + hour hospital stay I was so happy to be home with my family and resting in the comfort of my own couch and bed!

Lots of Cuddling
I think it's going to be hard for this little one to sleep in a crib at all because his big brothers want to hold him ALL THE TIME (also since we don't even have one for him yet since his big brother is still in our crib!)  Our boys wake up and all want to hold and cuddle with baby Peter and we are learning to take turns!

Fall Fun
I can tell when my boys are used to fun activities and being out and about after we spent a chill day at home and I heard a lot of "What are we doing for fun today?"  "Where are we going to go?"  So the next day I pulled out all I had and took the crew of 4 boys on a bike and stroller ride and pulled out the rake to play in the leaves in the front yard!  Thankfully with a bunch of little ones that can be an awesome adventure!  We had a great time!

Two Year Old Big Brother
Our two year old Luke is so funny with baby Peter and you see his range of emotions of what he thinks of his new brother in these pictures!

Boys, Boys, Boys
Luke was playing trains and he wanted to play and share them with Peter.  We decided to this instead!  Love these little guys!

Sweet Baby
I always love the first week, where you can get some of those precious sleepy pictures.  I just cannot get enough of this little guy!

  3. What a beautiful baby boy! The two-year-old range of emotions cracked me up. When we brought home our third her big siblings (twins, 23 months) had very different reactions. Our son adored her. Our daughter kept frowning and the baby, then looking at us hopefully and saying "baby bye-bye? baby bye-bye?" No kid, sorry. Siblings do not come with a return policy...
