Last year we had a fantastic time reading a Book a Day during Advent which included a lot of fun board books and basic picture books (which we will still take out this year to enjoy). This year we are going to be doing things a bit differently. Because of the new little addition to our family we are taking time off during the entire season of Advent and Christmas from our traditional homeschooling. I still wanted to have something a little structured during our days, and that is where Catholic and Christmas Mosaic come in to play! This Advent and Christmas season we will take time each week to curl up together on the couch and read some awesome books and then discuss them and do fun activities. I cannot WAIT!

Thanks for the inspiration to order some books! I just ordered a bunch of your recommendations! Since Tomie DePaola's book on Our Lady of Guadalupe is so expensive, I ordered "Our Lady of Guadalupe" by Bernier-Grand/ Engel last year and was not disappointed. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone else is in the same boat :) Also, "The Tale of Three Trees" is a Catholic Mosaic book for the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, but would also make a good book to read during advent. :)
