I published our 2016-2017 curriculum plans a few weeks ago and had LOTS of people ask how I was planning to schedule the curriculum that I had planned. Well, here is the basic overview. Obviously, this is a "perfect" day. We will be flexible and try it out for a while and see how it goes. If it needs tweaking and adjusting we will do so (the beauty of homeschooling)! Some days it takes us the entire 2 hours of structured learning time during the afternoon and other times it does not. Also we have a lot of the structured learning subjects in the afternoon only being done Monday - Thursday leaving Friday as a catch up day or more time off!
It really isn't TOO much different from our schedule last year, we are just adding some more formalized studies to our morning block of time (10-11am). You can check our schedule from last year HERE.
6am-7am:
- Mom up for morning prayers, checking e-mail and exercise (3-5 days per week)
- Everyone awake, showers/get dressed, eat breakfast, morning chores
- Kids=make beds, brush teeth, tidy rooms, put breakfast dishes away, wipe counters, give dogs food/water
- Mom= start laundry, unload dishwasher, look at menu plan for daily meals, any to-do list items for the day
- Morning Basket; Drive to Daily Mass at 8:40
- Daily Mass; Drive Home
- Wednesdays 8:30am-10am our Two Middle Children have Catechesis of the Good Shepard; I will try to attend daily mass between that time with our oldest and youngest.
10am-11am:
- Our baby currently takes a short morning nap at this time; this very easily will change throughout the next year! Our 3 year old will have free play during this time looking at books, playing trains, etc.
