"Be Children of the Church". This is what St Elizabeth Ann Seton said in 1821 on her deathbed. What such a simple and profound quote that echoes in my ears every day as I have the gift and responsibility to parent my children and also for myself to continue daily to be a child of the Church. I want this to be a central theme for this blog. I want this to be a place where we can come together to learn about how to become Children of the Church ourselves, but also to come together in community to raise Children of the Church! So please, come journey with me!
So who am I? I am a child of God, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend, a teacher, a nurse, a life-long learning of God's virtues and love. I have a wonderful husband Eric who is my very best friend and who works as an Emergency Medicine physician. We met and started dating in undergraduate school and made it through the crazy years of medical school, residency and fellowship together! It wasn't always easy, but here we are, 7 years into a marriage and continuing to learn more about our faith, our marriage and ourselves.

We have been blessed with three sons so far by God's grace and love learning about each of their individual characteristics given by God. Our oldest Ryan will be 5 years in December. He is witty, independent, quirky, caring and has the most amazing imagination. He surprises me every day with his questions and comments and is so much fun to be around. Our middle son Connor is hilarious! He was 3 years old in October and brings so much joy and laughter to our family. He is sweet, funny, stubborn, smart and compassionate. Our youngest son Luke was 1 year old in June. He is so calm and observant and always watching his big brothers. He loves his momma and I continue to appreciate his cuddles and love. We just "officially" started our journey with homeschooling this past year and are having so much fun! We are using
Seton, and feel so blessed by their wonderful curriculum and resources out there to teach our children about the Church at the world around them.
I hope over time you can get to know my family and I hope to be able to get to know you and your family! Blessings to you all!
