My "Grace of Yes!"

Today is The "Grace of Yes" day inspired by Lisa Hendey's new book "The Grace of Yes: Eight Virtues for Generous Living"!  This book was one of those books that I read through in one day and then have been able to go back, focus and study with the great community over at CatholicMom.com with the Grace of Yes Book Club.  It is an inspiring book that has allowed me to look at grace in different areas of my life including spiritual growth, family, vocation and community!

My "Grace of Yes" is trusting in the grace of my vocation that God is calling me to as a wife an mom!  It is so fitting to be celebrating this day with my online community as I am celebrating the anniversary of my husband's and my engagement and saying yes to my continued vocation as a wife.  Also, as I have suitcases to unpack and loads of laundry to be done after my husband and I returned this morning from our weekend away, I say "yes" to cuddles on the couch, one extra story book before nap time and special time with my kids to truly say yes to those moments of truly appreciating my children.

Lisa has amazing questions to ponder and prayers at the end of each chapter of her book.  My favorite prayer is at the end of Chapter One -  The Grace of Belief as part of it says:

"Be at my side and in my heart today
as I journey toward you.
May my yes to your love be unwavering,
undaunted by life's daily busyness and strife.

May my zeal for you spread to all I meet,
that they, too, may fully know the depths
of your endless grace."
