Good Friday this year was my Mother in Law's birthday, so we were able to go out to eat to celebrate (although my bacon loving boys were pretty sad when we told them that they had to skip out for the day!) It was a rainy day here, and one thing about buying a foreclosure home is all of the "wonderful" things that need done. We had a "lovely" rain shower not only outside but also inside our house! Not fun at all, but if that is the cross we are asked to carry on Good Friday, then we will plow through!
Saturday morning we woke up to sunshine and peacefulness! Just the way it should be as we WAIT!
We spent the day dying Easter eggs, working on a few house projects and getting ready for Easter!
Before bedtime we helped the big kids make this years
Paschal Candle. We have done this for a few years now, and our family always enjoys having this special candle in our home. It was so hard for them to WAIT to light it until Easter morning!
