Easter 2017

Alleluia, He is Risen!

We went to Easter Mass and the boys were SO excited for all of the wonderful things that Easter brings!  They were excited to see WHITE for celebration, all of the crucifix's unveiled, and to sing Alleluia!

We then had a little Easter egg hunt!  Although we do not have the Easter bunny visit, our children still like the tradition of searching for eggs and understand the history.  Eggs were not eaten during Lent during fasting from meat/eggs so farmers always had a lot of extra eggs come Easter!  Our children especially enjoyed searching for eggs at our new home on all of the land!

We also changed out our prayer table for an Easter theme with our Ressurection set, an image of the Divine Mercy, our Paschal Candle, Easter Lilies, and the quote from Saint Pope John Paul II "We are Easter People and Halleluiah is Our Song!"

In the afternoon my family came over and my mom made Resurrection Rolls with the boys! Ever since they were really little the have loved this little snack to help remind him them of Easter morning.

It was a lovely Easter!  I love that we have 50 days to continue to celebrate until Pentecost!
