We had such a lovely Christmas. Here is a quick highlight of the first few days! Christmas Eve we woke up to a lovely surprise of SNOW! The boys were thrilled and spent the entire morning outside playing.
That evening we went to my in-laws house for Christmas Eve. Unfortunately my brother in law's flight was delayed due to weather so he was not able to join us. We enjoyed carrying out the tradition of opening pajamas on Christmas Eve!
Christmas morning we carried out our same tradition from last year that the only thing that was under the tree when everyone woke up was our little Baby Jesus. Doing this really helps us all understand and see what the true gift of Christmas is. We went to early morning mass, came home, ate brunch and then got the presents out. Our children receive gifts from St. Nicholas on his feast day (December 6th) and then on Christmas they each receive three gifts from us symbolizing the three gifts that Jesus received from the Wise Men.
I love the precious first Christmas memories!!
Then we put the little one's down for naps and afterwards my family came over for Christmas dinner.
The next morning we had some time to relax and enjoy time as a family. Later in the morning my in-laws and brother in law (who had finally made it into town) joined us to celebrate Christmas!
My brother in law is Peter's godfather and was able to meet him for the first time!
The boys LOVED having special time with their uncle who they are not able to see often!
We had such a wonderful Christmas and were so blessed to be able to spend time with family who we love so much! We are so blessed and had so much fun celebrating Jesus's birthday!
