We watched the movies, we read the stories, we baked the cookies, all to get ready for a very special Saint! St Nicholas was coming to visit us on his feast day December 6th, and we were excited!
We wrote special letters for St. Nicholas to bring back to Jesus in Heaven talking about things that we were thankful for. We put out our shoes to collect little goodies and left him our cookies, milk and some special treasures that we were sure he would like!
Then, a miracle happened...he CAME!! St. Nicholas left our children Candy Canes, Clementines, Chocolate Gold Coins, special books and each of them pieces to build the Playmobil Nativity set. It was so special to watch our children delight in the fun of this special day. My favorite was when our oldest looked out our back window and saw a star and squeeled with delight as he KNEW it was St. Nicholas traveling back to Heaven and that "a true miracle had happened!"
